Bayman Triathlon 2026: A Spectacular Weekend Around Mont Saint-Michel

A total of 2,026 triathletes lined up for the fifth edition of the Bayman Triathlon, across the XXL, L and M formats held on October 10 and 11. Gloomy, and at times difficult, weather made the event even more spectacular.

In the stunning setting of Mont Saint-Michel Bay, 1,281 athletes took on the fifth edition of the Bayman Triathlon on Saturday, October 10, despite changeable weather alternating between sunny spells, sunshine and showers. The XXL field got underway at 7:45 a.m., with 379 triathletes taking the start, before the L race began at 10:15 a.m. with 902 participants. In the XXL race, Marine Dulau and Baptiste Delmas set the tone for the opening day of competition, winning by a comfortable margin over their closest rivals.

Both crossed the finish line nearly 20 minutes ahead of their nearest pursuers. The men's winner summed up his performance this way: "I didn't expect it. There were three of us in the swim. I was leading on the bike, then I was overtaken around the 40-kilometer mark. I managed to make up the deficit, even though the wind was very strong. I'm very happy with my performance."

In the women's race, Marine Dulau claimed her second consecutive title in difficult conditions. "The weather was terrible, but this is a well-deserved victory. I'm so happy to win here again in this magical setting."

Dorian Muller and the Delagarde sisters shine in the L race

The L race featured a family performance in the women's field: Juliette Delagarde took the win, while her older sister, Lisa Delagarde, completed the podium in third place.

"We thought, why not us this year? And here we are with a great double result, so we're both very happy. Last year, we came to support our brother, who finished second, and this year we've completed the podium with a first and a third place," Juliette Delagarde said.

The men's title went to Dorian Muller, ahead of Rémi Huens and Corentin Jezequel.

"I had a great race and felt really good. The bike course had changed from last year, and I don't know if that's what helped me gain time. I'm really happy with how I felt today. Thanks again to the organizers and volunteers. It's a great event, and I'm glad to be back this year ", Fabian Samson said.

In the women's race, Lola Bachet took the win ahead of Océane Le Bris and Edwige Gorel. "I was determined to come back, even though I was a little apprehensive. After a mentally difficult end to my season, I wanted to do a triathlon without putting pressure on myself. Thanks to this victory, I've decided that from now on I'll approach my next races as milestones to get through, rather than as goals ", the young athlete said.
