In mid-September, Hyères takes advantage of the mild late-season weather to host its triathlon on the coast of the Var. The swim takes place in the sea, in the bay, followed by a bike course that leaves the coastline and heads toward the Maures massif and the Côtes de Provence vineyards.
Two formats are on offer: an S (750 m swim, 24 km bike, 5 km run) that is accessible to as many people as possible, and an M (1.5 km, 56 km, 10 km), which is more demanding with its hilly terrain. The run follows the former salt flats, facing the Golden Isles of Porquerolles and Port-Cros, in a postcard-perfect setting. Kids' races round out this end-of-season event in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
