Challenge Salou

In spring, Salou, a seaside resort on the Costa Daurada in Catalonia, hosts a stop on the Challenge Family circuit, a favorite among European triathletes at the start of the season. The start and finish are on Llevant Beach, with a sea swim in shallow waters, facing the Ebro Delta and the Serra de la Mussara.
The flagship format, a middle distance with a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21.1 km run, features a bike course of rolling loops that lend themselves to high average speeds, followed by a multi-lap half marathon along the seafront, carried along by large crowds. A shorter format and a relay option also let you enjoy the Challenge atmosphere, ideal for kicking off your season under the Spanish sun.
