Paratriathlon : Découvrez les champions de France 2026

Avec un peu plus de 100 concurrents, le record de participation a été battu lors du Championnat de France de Paratriathlon qui s’est déroulé dimanche après-midi à Cabourg. Malgré l’absence de dernière minute du double champion paralympique Alexis Hanquinquant (grippé), la compétition a réservé un superbe spectacle.

Les premiers à s’élancer à 14h15 étaient les concurrents de la catégorie PTWC (fauteuils). Le duel s’annonçait serré entre Joseph Fritsch (ASPTT Strasbourg Tri) et Louis Noël (Côte d’Opale Triathlon Saint-Omer) qui venaient de terminer troisième et quatrième lors du Championnat du monde à Pontevedra. Le dernier mot est revenu au concurrent nordiste qui a pris sa revanche sur son adversaire alsacien. Louis Noël décroche par la même occasion son sixième maillot bleu-blanc-rouge.

La catégorie PTVI (déficients visuels) est ensuite entrée en scène. En l’absence d’Antoine Perel et Thibaut Rigaudeau, Maxime Gayet (Team Life Tri) et son guide Adrien Leroux (La Roche Vendée Triathlon) faisaient figure de grands favoris. Ils n’ont pas déçu leurs supporters en devançant nettement Paul Lloveras (C.R.V. Lyon Triathlon) guidé par Ugo Raia (A.S.M. Saint-Etienne Triathlon 42). Les lauréats ont remporté par la même occasion un troisième titre consécutif. Chez les femmes, succès de Fanny Bourdelas (TUC Triathlon), guidée par Apolline Rousset.

Les résultats des catégories PTS (Athlètes concourant debout avec des déficiences physiques nécessitant prothèses ou adaptations) sont restés conformes aux pronostics. Malgré l’absence d’Alexis Hanquinquant, la course des PTS4 était très attendue. On retrouvait deux concurrents qui avaient brillé à Pontevedra, Pierre-Antoine Baele (Villeneuve d’Ascq Triathlon), troisième en Espagne, et Antoine Lamarche Poulain (La Rochelle Triathlon), quatrième des Mondiaux. Le Nordiste a une nouvelle fois pris le dessus sur son rival.

Chez les femmes, en l’absence de la championne du monde Camille Sénéclauze, Zoë Réveillon (Triathlon Club d’Hazebrouck), sa dauphine en Espagne, s’est facilement imposée.

Trois autres athlètes habitués au titre national ont ajouté un nouveau maillot bleu-blanc-rouge à leur collection : sixième titre pour Cédric Denuzière chez les PTS3, cinquième titre national pour l’ancien rugbyman Antoine Besse chez les PTS5, et douzième titre (en treize participations) pour Gwladys Lemoussu chez les PTS5.

Signalons également le titre de Mona Francis qui a changé de catégorie passant des PTWC aux PTS2. À noter que la catégorie PTS7 (handicaps mentaux et psychiques) décernait pour la première fois un titre de champion de France. Les premiers lauréats se nomment Erwan Lecat (SC Abbeville Triathlon Natation) et Gaia Della Guista (Monte Carlo Triathlon Club).
