Saudi Arabia T100 pushed back to April 2027

As the situation in the Middle East had made likely, the T100 round planned for Saudi Arabia at the end of November 2026 has been postponed to April 2027.
The PTO and World Triathlon, organizers of the T100 triathlon circuit, announced today that the stop scheduled for late November in Saudi Arabia, a first for the series, has been postponed to April 2027.
The organizers cite "organizational and technical requirements, as well as the progress of preparations for this first edition in the kingdom", but the real reason behind the delay is the ongoing conflict between Middle Eastern states and Iran, and the regional instability that comes with it. The Saudi Arabia T100 and the Jeddah World Triathlon Cup are now expected to take place on April 16 and 17, 2027, instead of the original dates of November 27 and 28, 2026.
The official statement also confirms that registration is open to age-group triathletes who want to be part of this first in Saudi Arabia. For now, the final rounds of the 2026 T100 circuit remain on the calendar: November 14 in Dubai (women) and December 11 in Qatar (women and men).
