World Triathlon and the PTO confirm the first 2027 T50 Cup and T100 Challenger dates, with Quiberon retained on the T50 World Championship Tour and Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël on the T100 World Championship circuit

At the World Triathlon Congress in Pontevedra, Spain, the 2027 Triathlon World Tour calendar took shape with the addition of 30 T50 Cup and T100 Challenger races. France also received two pieces of good news: Quiberon will remain on the T50 World Championship Tour, the new name for the World Triathlon Championship Series, while the French Riviera T100 World Championship in Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël will return in May.

On July 24, World Triathlon and the PTO announced the main dates for the 2027 T50 World Championship Tour and T100 World Championship calendars (read more here). Yesterday, at the international federation’s annual congress in Pontevedra, Spain, the two organisations completed the schedule with the second-tier races: the T50 Cup (the equivalent of the former World Cups) and the T100 Challenger (made up of the former Challenge Family circuit races, with the exception of Roth).

A total of 48 races now feature on the 2027 international calendar, with several more still to be added by the end of the year.

It was also confirmed that the Quiberon round will remain on the T50 World Championship Tour on June 19-20, alongside the French Riviera T100 World Championship in Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël, on May 15, 2027.
