Salomon joins the IRONMAN triathlon series through 2031 and becomes title partner of the IRONMAN World Championship in Hawaii

From 2027, Salomon will become IRONMAN’s Global Premier Partner through 2031, covering performance footwear, apparel and technical packs. The Haute-Savoie-based brand will also become title partner of the 2027 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, for the duration of the partnership.
Salomon is stepping into a new world: long-distance triathlon. The brand, founded in Annecy, had already made its mark in road running through partnerships such as the Nice-Cannes Marathon. Now it is venturing beyond the mountains where it was born and built its reputation, moving into the world of triathlon. Last March, Salomon announced partnerships with three leading triathletes: French athletes Marjolaine Pierré and Julie Iemmolo, along with Norwegian 2025 IRONMAN World Champion Casper Stornes.
Today, the brand is going a step further by announcing a new five-year partnership with IRONMAN. Starting in 2027, the partnership will extend across events worldwide, bringing together Salomon’s expertise in performance running innovation and IRONMAN’s global community. Salomon will become IRONMAN’s Global Premier Partner through 2031, with exclusive rights in the performance footwear, apparel and technical packs categories across the IRONMAN ecosystem.
Under the agreement, Salomon will also become title sponsor of the 2027 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, marking a major step in the brand’s growing presence in endurance sports.
Becoming Title Partner of the IRONMAN World Championship in Hawaii is both an honour and a responsibility. We are approaching this partnership with humility, ambition and a long-term commitment. We want to contribute to its future while respecting everything that has made Kona an iconic place, and create lasting value for the athletes and communities that make endurance sports what they are today.
The partnership also reflects a broader shift in the way athletes experience endurance today. Increasingly, they move between sports, disciplines and terrain, carrying the same mindset from one challenge to the next. What connects these experiences is no longer a single discipline, but a shared pursuit of progress, performance and self-improvement, making endurance as much a way of life as a sport.
Triathlon is a natural extension of Salomon’s expertise
For Salomon, endurance has never been defined by the terrain. Born in the French Alps 80 years ago, the brand started out where things are most difficult and has never stopped pushing its limits.
From cross-country skiing and adventure racing to trail, road running and gravel, Salomon has built its expertise across sports and seasons, helping athletes perform over long distances and in the most demanding conditions. Triathlon is a natural extension of that expertise.
Athletes are no longer defined by a single sport. They run on roads, compete in the mountains, take on triathlons and are constantly looking for new ways to push themselves. Endurance has become a way of life. For Salomon, partnering with IRONMAN is a natural step and an opportunity to bring our performance expertise to one of the world’s most committed endurance communities.
A shared belief: sport has the power to reveal and develop human potential
Salomon and IRONMAN share an athlete-centred philosophy, a commitment to innovation in the service of performance, and close ties with the communities they support.
This collaboration will take on a new dimension through title and presenting partnerships at several iconic IRONMAN events in the United States and Europe. At every IRONMAN-owned event included in the partnership, Salomon will be the official partner of the IRONMAN run course, linking the brand’s growing road-running expertise with the final, defining discipline of long-distance triathlon.
At the heart of the partnership is a shared belief: sport has the power to reveal and develop human potential. Salomon and IRONMAN share an athlete-centred philosophy, a commitment to innovation in the service of performance, and close ties with the communities they support.
Together, the two brands aim to create a premium experience that enables athletes to push their limits and redefine what they thought they were capable of achieving.
This partnership is built on a shared desire to support athletes and help them pursue ambitious goals. Salomon’s heritage, performance expertise, product innovation and community-driven philosophy make it a natural partner for IRONMAN. We look forward to working together to enrich the athlete experience across our community.
Three pillars: athletes, product and human performance expertise
The partnership will be built around three pillars that define Salomon’s approach: athletes, product and human performance expertise. Athletes will be at the heart of this new chapter, alongside Marjolaine Pierré, Julie Iemmolo and Casper Stornes, three athletes already competing at the highest level of long-distance triathlon. Their experience will provide first-hand insight into the specific demands of training, racing and running after several hours of effort, helping shape Salomon’s approach to the discipline.
Product innovation will turn these insights into performance gains. At selected events and within different IRONMAN communities, athletes will also have the opportunity to discover, test and experience Salomon products.
Beyond the product, Salomon will bring its broader human performance expertise to the partnership. Through its athlete-centred approach, Service to Athlete platform and Performance Program, led by sports scientist Aitor Viribay, the brand explores biomechanics, training, nutrition, recovery and athlete feedback to better understand the factors that enable athletes to maintain their performance over time.
IRONMAN will provide a unique environment in which to deepen this knowledge and turn it into practical, relevant innovations for elite athletes and the wider community alike.
Together, these three pillars — athletes, product and human performance expertise — will extend the partnership well beyond race day and help shape the next generation of sports performance.
A first activation at the 2026 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona
Nowhere is this ambition more symbolic than at the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Salomon’s road to Kona starts this year. At the 2026 IRONMAN World Championship, Salomon will unveil its first Kona activation with an immersive pop-up at Kona Heaven on October 7 and 8.
Athletes, fans and community members will be able to discover Salomon’s approach to performance and innovation, speak with the brand’s product experts and meet endurance athletes Courtney Dauwalter, a three-time UTMB Mont-Blanc winner, and Jessie Diggins, a cross-country skier who has competed at several Olympic Games.
